If you know anything about Harrogate then you know Bettys is THE place to go for sweet treats and afternoon tea. It’s not just for tourists, Izzy and I are Harrogate born and bred and still love a cheeky visit to Bettys every now and again….

But if you’ve already been to Bettys, you can’t face the queue and you want to try somewhere else then where else could you go?

For a super girly afternoon tea then we totally recommend Mama Doreen’s. It’s like a modern age Bettys with so many sweet treats and brunches to chose from.

Prices start from £19.50pp with options to add prosecco or to upgrade kids teas to ‘princess’ or ‘football’ afternoon teas!

If you haven’t discovered the Montpellier quarter of Harrogate then it’s a must, and Jenny’s tea shop is nestled in amongst the antiques shops of Montpellier Mews

Prices start at only £14pp!

If you want an afternoon in the grandest hotel in Harrogate then this one is for you.

Served in the beautifully decorated Carters Champagne Bar and Grill, the traditional afternoon tea includes a variety of sandwiches, a warm fruit scone served with clotted cream and strawberry jam along with a selection of cakes and macaroons.

The Ivy fits in so well in Harrogate, I can’t believe it hasn’t been here that long.

If you are still looking for the indulgence of Bettys then get a table booked at The Ivy. It’s only a few doors down the street from Bettys so perfect if you are combining it with a trip around the shops.

Prices from £26.95
