A Purrfect Day Out: Leeds Kitty Café

Hello, fellow feline enthusiasts! If you’re a family from Harrogate looking to sprinkle some purr-fect magic into your day out, the Leeds Kitty Café is an excellent choice! It’s right in the centre of Leeds, only 30 or so mins away by train, bus or car. Let’s take a closer look at what this cat haven has in store.

A Cat-Lover’s Dream Come True

Imagine a place where adorable cats and kittens are just waiting to play and shower you with cuddles and purrs. Nestled in Leeds, the Kitty Café is a wonderland for both young and old cat enthusiasts. As you step inside, you’re greeted by a unique environment where cats roam freely and interact with visitors. We couldn’t believe how many there were, some up on the higher bridges (away from the crowds) and lots just chilling with the guests.

Upon entering, you’re greeted by the delightful sight of playful kitties chasing toys and lounging in cosy corners. The café’s design is catered to visitors and cats alike, with plenty of areas for the resident cats to get some quiet time and visitors to interact with the ones who are ready to play. There are plenty of toy boxes dotted around so be sure to grab something to attract the attention of the kittens.

Meet the Stars of the Show

Each cat at the Kitty Café has their own unique personality and story, and you can get to know them all! From mischievous Marmalade to curious Coco, these feline celebrities are sure to steal your heart. Izzy and I could have quite happily stashed one of the kittens in our bag.

Light Bites and Cat-themed Goodies

To make your visit even more paw-some, indulge in delicious treats from the café’s menu. When it comes to the food we were underwhelmed with some of the main dishes and found it a little pricey so maybe just treat yourself to a coffee and cake while you’re here and head for lunch elsewhere. Nets are available to cover your food so the cheeky rascals won’t try and steal your lunch! The café has an array of cat-themed merchandise available to purchase too that’ll make for the perfect souvenir.

Plan Your Kitty Adventure!

Ready for a day of feline fun in Leeds? Gather your family, hop on a train or bus from Harrogate, and let the adventure begin. Remember the bus fare price cap is on at the moment so each way is only £2 on the bus. Just remember to book your spot in advance, it can get really busy and they were turning people away when we were there.. The Leeds Kitty Café promises an enriching experience for adults and kids alike! Entry prices apply too; expect to pay around £8 for adults and £6 for children.

This is a must do activity for any cat lovers visiting Leeds from Harrogate and beyond. But like I said earlier maybe just pop in for a drink and cake, not for lunch.
