10 of the Best Coffee Shops in Harrogate

The coffee shop scene in Harrogate is HUGE, with so much choice in and around the town centre, where should you start?

Being Harrogate born and bred we have frequented many a coffee shop on the weekends so here are our tried and tested (its a hard job!) coffee shops that we know you’ll love.

1. Heal – They are the friendliest bunch in town!

Situated just round the corner from the Valley Gardens, Heal offers a unique blend of medical treatments and beauty therapies alongside a beautiful new coffee bar and gift shop in Harrogate’s Montpellier Quarter. They have a range of speciality coffees, drinks, cakes and pastries as well as a selection of home, retail and giftware. They’re also very dog friendly too!

2. Love Brownies – One of the best lattes

Also in the Montpellier Quarter, Love Brownies Harrogate is the perfect place to enjoy a decadent chocolate brownie and a freshly-roasted coffee. In eight tempting flavours, including caramel fudge, fresh raspberry or original double chocolate, all of their brownies are gluten-free and they have a delicious vegan range too.

3. Grön – Try one of their cinnamon rolls

Just opposite the Crown Hotel, serving beautifully balanced food and drink and open to everyone regardless of dietary requirements. At Grön they are all about #KeepingItClean and delivering a great brunch, lunch or coffee, with minimal impact on the environment.

4. Pink Door – The newest and most instagrammable coffee house in Harrogate

Situated just outside the town centre on up and coming Kings Road you’ll find Pink Door. Its our new ‘local’. Izzy highly recommends the cupcakes and I love their toasties.

5. Hustle & Co – Coffee and good food done well

Expect a menu with innovation and inspiration gathered from the seasons and local suppliers. The heart of our values is good food, done well, balancing nutrition and nothing added but passion and goodness. Catering for all dietary needs and eating preferences.

6.Bean & Bud – Outdoor space and dog friendly

Bean & Bud is a small independent coffee shop on Commercial Street which is full of great independent shops. With inside and outside seating its a perfect place to take a break mid-shopping, sit in the sun and soak up the indie vibes

7. No 35 – Meet Walter the resident dog/head of customer services

Established in 2017, a small, independently owned coffee shop in Harrogate from the same people who own Pink Door. Great location right by the exhibition centre and Royal Hall.

8. Brew Bar – A bustling community coffee shop

Based on St Winifred’s Avenue, out of the town centre, but ideally located if you are walking along the Stray or heading to the football ground. Their Brew Bar Bakes are out of this world if you have a sweet tooth.

9. Slingsby’s – Not to be confused with the gin!

This is our frequent haunt so keep an eye out for us if you pop in. Situated on Tower Street opposite the Travelodge (and the cheapest multi storey in town if you need somewhere to park), they serve great coffee and smoothies with a smile.

10. Baltzersens
 – One word…Waffles!

Baltzersen’s is a café that offers you the best Yorkshire sourced ingredients prepared with Scandinavian inspiration to deliver a taste of the Nordic north in relaxed and calm
surroundings. Situated on Oxford Street just down the road from Harrogate Theatre.
