Your Ultimate Guide to Annual Memberships in Yorkshire

Are you looking for a family membership this summer? I’ve created this guide and listed them all in one place to make it easy to compare prices.

Some are for multiple venues, where others are for repeat visits to the same attraction. From castles to gardens to play areas you should find everything here. I also have a blog which lists all the attractions in Yorkshire which offer ‘Pay once, Visit All Year’ tickets, so you might want to check out that next.

Just make sure you check their latest prices and T&C’s on their individual websites.

RHS Membership

Get entry into all 5 RHS gardens including Harlow Carr as well as 200 partner gardens (main member only) including Beninbrough, Parcevall Hall and the Yorkshire Arboretum.

Individual Membership
1 adult plus 1 guest OR 2 children
£74.00
Joint Membership
2 adults plus family guest and up to 4 children
£110.00

Newby Hall

Access all season (March – September) including some special event days but doesn’t include house tours.

Adults£50.00
Children£25.00

WARNING: Please don’t buy Newby Hall membership until you have read about Historic Houses. Personally I think this is a lot better value and it includes Newby Hall access.

Harewood House

Unlimited access to Harewood House and gardens, member days, priority booking for events and 10% off in the cafe and shop.

1 adult and up to 4 children£77.00
2 adults and up to 4 children£117.00

National Trust

Includes entry to Fountains Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey, Beninbrough, Nostell, Brimham rocks and so many more National Trust properties.

1 adult plus children and grandchildren£99.00
2 adults plus children and grandchildren£159.00

English Heritage

An English Heritage membership includes entry to Cliffords Tower, Byland Abbey, Spofforth Castle (this is free entry anyway!), Burton Agnes, Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey to name but a few.

1 adult and up to 6 children£72.00
2 adults and up to 12 children£126.00

Historic Houses

I’m not bias and not affiliated with Historic Houses but this is the best value membership by far if you want access to local attractions.

It includes entry to Temple Newsam, Harewood House (1 visit per year), Bramham Park, Goldsborough Hall, Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Markenfield Hall, plus may other venues around the country.

1 adult£68.00
2 adults£126.00
Children (each)£30.00

Stockeld Park

Stockeld Park doesn’t feature much on my blog because I remember the days when you didn’t have to remortgage to visit but if youve never been before it is worth a visit and the kids love it.

Access all summer (6th July to 15th September). Book up to 14 days in advance. 1.5hr Play Hive slot per visit.

£40.00 per person

Which annual membership will you choose? There are some great ideas here for Yorkshire days out for all the family. I think you can guess which is my favourite!
